Henderson to Receive Toledo Bar Association's Trustees' Award

Congratulations to RCO Law Attorney Kayla L. Henderson who will receive the 2024 Trustees’ Award from the Toledo Bar Association at its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 4, at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The Trustees’ Award is given annually by the TBA Board of Directors to a member of the association who exemplifies professionalism in the practice of law and who has demonstrated a commitment to improving the legal profession through active involvement in the TBA.

Kayla’s involvement in the TBA includes serving on numerous committees and initiatives, exemplifying her unwavering dedication to advancing the legal profession and fostering a vibrant community within the association.

As a member of the Common Pleas Court Committee, Kayla serves as Vice-Chair, contributing her expertise to shape policies and practices that uphold the integrity of our legal system.

In addition, Kayla's involvement in the Lawyers & Doctors Committee as the Chair of the CLE Subcommittee highlights her dedication to promoting continuous learning and professional development among TBA members. She was the driving force behind the committee’s three-hour medical legal seminar, Navigating New Frontiers, in May.

Kayla previously served as Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee and was instrumental in planning new lawyer training seminars, providing essential guidance and support to aspiring attorneys as they navigate the early stages of their careers.

She is currently a member of the TBA Board of Directors where she provides strategic leadership and guidance shaping the direction of the association. Her past role as liaison for the Junior Bar further underscores her dedication to amplifying the voices of emerging legal professionals within the TBA.

Kayla was also a valued member of the 2020 TBA Strategic Planning Committee which charts the course for the future growth and success of the association.

RCO Law Attorney Julia S. Wiley received the TBA Trustees’ Award in 2000.

In 2015, the TBA honored RCO Law Attorney James E. Brazeau with its Community Service Award for his commitment and service to community organizations.
