RCO Law is delighted to announce that Kristen E. Gartland has joined the Firm as marketing director. Kristen is responsible for leading the Firm’s strategic branding, advertising, public relations and business development initiatives, internal and external communications, and special events.
Kristen formerly served as assistant director of Annual Giving and Digital Philanthropy for The University of Toledo Foundation. She also worked as marketing and communication specialist for The University of Toledo, Colleges of Nursing and Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Before coming to Toledo, she was a communication and event specialist for the Dayton Region Manufacturers Association (DRMA).
Her professional affiliations include the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Toledo Chapter. She volunteers as a Lucas County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children. She has formerly served as a board member of A Journey Through Healing, Toledo, a family grief support program; a digital media developer for Partners of the Americas, Guatemala; and a former marketing committee member for TedXDayton,
Kristen holds an associate’s degree (AA) from Sinclair Community College, Dayton; a bachelor of arts degree (BA) from Wright State University, Dayton; and a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from The University of Toledo.
