About Philip
Phil’s primary areas of expertise are employment, labor, and healthcare law. As an Of Counsel attorney for the Firm, Phil now concentrates on employment and labor law.
In the area of employment law, Phil counsels employers on legal compliance and human resource management. He represents employers in state and federal court, and before regulatory authorities including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and Michigan Department of Civil Rights.
With respect to labor law, Phil has served as a primary spokesperson for employers in collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, and before the National Labor Relations Board.
Phil has represented clients in a wide variety of commercial disputes including contract disputes, insurance issues, dissenting shareholders, and unfair competition claims.
At one time and for over 20 years, Phil served as outside counsel for a small rural hospital, affiliated physicians, and their practices.
He has also represented clients, both front and back lot owners, on riparian rights – which controls the usage of water and waterfronts on lakes and rivers.
With his years of experience, Phil provides counsel and guidance to clients helping them achieve their goals in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
