Melissa M. Oostmeyer

Working with companies of all sizes on complex business and corporate matters, Melissa currently chairs the Firm’s Business and Commercial Practice Group. She brings over 13 years of Fortune 500 in-house corporate counsel experience to the firm. Before joining RCO, she served as senior corporate counsel with a leading energy company.

Melissa is well-versed in handling a variety of business matters and commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, purchase and sales agreements, franchising agreements, construction contracts, non-compete agreements, and real estate matters. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Michigan, and Colorado.

Melissa earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law; a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Arbor University, Spring Arbor, MI.
