About Joshua

Joshua Kin is a business attorney who advises business owners and companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial matters, and business litigation. His practice is focused on serving as outside general counsel to closely held and middle-market businesses, with particular experience representing sellers in business sales and ownership transitions.

Joshua began his career as a trial and appellate attorney, an experience that continues to shape his approach to transactions and business counseling. His litigation background allows him to identify risk early, negotiate from a position of strength, and help clients avoid disputes before they arise or manage them efficiently when they cannot be avoided.

A significant portion of Joshua’s practice involves representing owners in the sale of their businesses. He advises sellers throughout the transaction process, from early planning and deal structuring through negotiation, due diligence and closing. Joshua understands that selling a business is often one of the most consequential financial decisions an owner will make, and he works to protect his clients’ interests while keeping deals practical, efficient, and focused on successful outcomes.

In addition to mergers and acquisitions, Joshua advises businesses on corporate governance, contracts, financing arrangements and day-to-day legal matters. He frequently serves as a central point of contact for clients, coordinating legal strategy with accountants, financial advisors and other professionals. He maintains a strong national network and regularly represents Ohio-based businesses in multistate transactions and disputes.

Joshua is known for clear communication, sound judgment and a steady approach when the stakes are high. Clients value his ability to balance legal risk with business realities and provide practical advice that supports long-term success.

Joshua has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Top-Rated Business Litigation Attorney and Ohio Rising Star, and was honored by the Ohio State Bar Association Litigation Section with its Rising Litigator Award.
