About Howard
Howard's practice involves business counseling with emphasis on Intellectual Property law with clients ranging from Fortune 500 to small business and startups. He advises clients on strategies and implementation details for obtaining, maintaining, enforcing, licensing and transferring patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets, together with associated detailed implementation work and related licensing, and merger and acquisition projects.
A native of Toledo, Howard previously served as assistant general counsel and intellectual property counsel for Owens-Illinois, Inc. He has been in private practice for the past several years serving as a valued Of Counsel attorney in the Firm’s Business and Commercial Law Practice Group.
Relevant Experience
Howard has managed the full range of Intellectual Property activities including obtaining, maintaining and defending patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets, together with the associated detailed implementation work, and related licensing and M&A projects. His recent practice focuses on licensing and other transactional aspects of the transfer of Intellectual Property rights.
